Highlights

Hotbed of Traditional Culture

Oman is a fascinating place where you can savour colourful, deeply traditional culture almost at your doorsteps.

From the white city of Muscat to authentic markets of Nizwa, Oman feels like a different world from anywhere else where you have been. Relaxed, peaceful, proud, respectful and very safe, it stands apart from its neighbours.

It's a fantastic place to practice people photography, full of incredibly photogenic people and colourful dresses.

We are going there at the best time of the year - with comfortable temperatures around 25 degrees, and at the time of annual Muscat Festival - an event for locals, which brings people from different corners of the country to showcase traditional dresses, and you can photograph them for as long as you like. That's where the picture at the top of this page was taken.

We will also drive to Nizwa, which holds a traditional market every Friday morning. It feels like stepping back in time, with colourful people selling food, goats and housewares.

How It Works

This is a photo trip focused on PEOPLE PHOTOGRAPHY - mixed with sightseeing.

It's an intense trip where you can PRACTICE your people photography skills in an incredibly colourful location.

I will give you FACE-TO-FACE COACHING with individual feedback throughout the trip. I will be giving you tips, watching over your shoulder, correcting mistakes and giving feedback on your shots.

At the end of each day, we will REVIEW everyone's best shots together.

Intermediate Level

This trip is designed for people who have already completed my 5 STEPS TO STUNNING PORTRAITS training - and already know the most powerful people photography techniques. I will be briefing you which ones are best to use - but there will be no time for me to explain them.

You should also be familiar with basic camera controls (Aperture, ISO, Exposure Compensation etc.).
